Scuttles & Manholes

We can supply round and oval scuttles to meet most shipboard requirements.

• For installation raised above the deck, or with smooth top for installation flush with the deck.
• Quick acting wheel or lever activated from below and flush stud activated from above.
• General access scuttles can be secured with individual dogs or drop bolts.
• All scuttle covers can be hinged with or without spring balance.
• Escape scuttles can be set up to be operable from below only.

Manholes and Inspection Covers can be supplied in both stock and custom sizes.

• Oval stock sizes: 15″ x 23″; 18″ x 24″
• Round stock sizes: 18″, 20″, 22″, 24″, 26″
• Custom sizes available on special request.
• All sizes can be supplied in the following configurations:
  • Boiled plate design with bolts protruding above covers.
  • Raised Bolted Plate design.
  • Flush with totally smooth cover, for mounting flush with the deck.
